OPERA LEAGUE OF LOS ANGELES

The Opera League of Los Angeles supports the LA Opera through education, volunteerism, fundraising and community engagement. I’ve been a Board Member since 2020.

Stick It To Sexism

For Women's History Month, I led a team that launched Stick It To Sexism, a campaign to provoke conversation about gender bias. We designed and distributed hundreds of witty and poignant bumper stickers that were stuck all over New York City.

@Salon

@Salon was a monthly discussion group I co-founded that built community through dialogue. At each event a queer leader shared on a topic rooted in their personal experience. Those shares were then followed by conversations where the other attendees asked questions, told their own stories and exchanged knowledge relevant to the topic.

Community Gardner and WWOOFer

As a member of various community gardens in Brooklyn and Los Angeles and as a WWOOFer in Spain I have helped to cultivate and maintain urban green space and establish garden-centered communities.
